What Is a Makeover?
A makeover changes how something looks, but Jesus can do something much deeper: He can change a person’s heart, direction, and purpose. Saul was sure he was doing the right thing, but meeting Jesus changed everything.
Saul Had a Story Before He Changed
Acts 22:3-5
Saul was educated, serious about his beliefs, and very determined. But he was hurting followers of Jesus.
Youth Lesson
Being confident does not always mean we are right. We should let God’s Word help us check our choices.
Jesus Stopped Saul
Acts 22:6-8
On the road to Damascus, a bright light surrounded Saul and Jesus spoke to him.

Jesus loves us enough to get our attention when we are going the wrong way.
Saul Needed Help
Acts 22:9-13
Saul could not see and had to be led into the city. God sent Ananias to help him.

We all need people who pray for us, teach us, and help us grow.
God Gave Saul a New Purpose
Acts 22:14-15
God chose Saul to know His will and become a witness to others.

Jesus does not only forgive us; He gives us a new way to live and a story we can share.
What Can We Learn?
- Jesus can change anyone.
- We should be willing to admit when we are wrong.
- God uses caring people to help us grow.
- Our past does not stop God from giving us purpose.
- We can tell others what Jesus has done for us.
Makeover Activity
Draw two arrows. On the first arrow write one wrong direction a person might follow. On the second arrow write one way Jesus helps us change direction. Then write: Jesus can change my heart and my path.
Weekly Challenge
- Read Acts 22:3-15 with your family.
- Thank someone who has helped you grow in faith.
- Pray for courage to change when God shows you something is wrong.
- Tell one person something good Jesus has done in your life.
Prayer
Dear Jesus, thank You for loving us enough to change our direction. Help us listen when You speak, admit when we are wrong, and accept help from people You send. Give us a new heart, a new purpose, and courage to tell others what You have done. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
